Leave from the Kakuetta Gorges car park and walk down towards the Pont d'Enfer Bridge (follow the in red and white trail marks of the GR10). Straight after the Pont d'Enfer Bridge take the trail to your left and walk until you reach the Athorro hamlet farms. When you get to the Altagneta track leave the GR10 by turning left and follow the track through to the end. Then follow the crest line.

You will walk across vast pastures on the mountain slope and be able to look down on the Kakuetta Gorges and Zarday cirque. Cross the Zarday brook and start climbing along a winding track through the beech and pine woods until you get to the Larregorry cayolar (shepherd's hut). Then simply slip off to the left along the forest track for about 8 km, reach the CD 113 and you'll get back to the start point.
